PUSA: Muslims, especially in Batang Lupar, are urged to celebrate the month of Ramadan by organising tarawih prayers, tadarus, and similar activities at the mosque.

According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli said such tradition is essential to enliven the atmosphere in the mosque.

Mohamad Shafizan also said that it will further strengthen friendship and unity among the community.

“For that purpose, I have allocated some funds for mosques and suraus here to carry out activities and programmes throughout Ramadan,” he said when joining the public in Kampung Triso for the breaking of the fast and Tarawih at Kampung Meludam here on Sunday (March 26).

He also hoped all parties are committed to ensure that children can work together in mosques and suraus so that they can produce pious generations and leaders in the future.

During the event, Mohamad Shafizan presented financial contributions to 15 asnaf in Kampung Triso and 35 people in Kampung Maludam.
