SARIKEI: Tanjong Manis MP Yusuf Abdul Wahab has approved allocation totalling RM185,000 under the Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant to over 30 various agencies, clubs, associations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) throughout the Tanjong Manis parliamentary constituency.
He presented the allocation cheques in a brief ceremony at the Tanjong Manis Service Centre recently.
In his brief speech, Yusuf expressed hope that all allocated funds would be utilised efficiently for planned activities and requested that each recipient provide activity reports for the implemented initiatives.
“I also hope to receive cooperation from all funding recipients to submit brief reports on the activities carried out according to the application, ensuring that the distribution of public funds is not questioned,” he said.
At the same event, he also handed over contribution cheques to the Pesta Nanas Committee amounting to RM10,000, the Parents, Community, and Private Sector Movement (PIBKS) for the Sarikei District with RM3,000, PERKIP Hospital Sarikei with RM3,000, and the Petanque Sports Association for the Sarikei Division with RM3,000.
