PALOH: Tanjong Manis Member of Parliament Ir Yusuf Abdul Wahab is committed to ensuring that Kampung Paloh and its surrounding areas have four essential facilities.
“These include transportation infrastructure, water supply, electricity, and telecommunications fully provided before the end of my second term tenure.
“These four structures are the main foundation that needs to be developed, in addition to providing other facilities.
“All of these infrastructures have been provided, and the socio-economic development process can be successfully carried out in tandem with efforts to boost the rural economy,” he said.
He made these remarks during the Paloh Day with Leaders programme at the Paloh Community Hall here on Wednesday.
Yusuf also mentioned that he would ensure all these structures are in place before the end of his parliamentary term as the elected representative of Tanjong Manis, including the construction of a transportation route to Kampung Paloh.
“Without a connecting route to the outside, it is quite difficult for the people to transport their produce and raise their income.
“I will also request the allocation that has been approved so that all transportation infrastructure projects can be implemented as expected,” he explained.
In this regard, he also urged the residents to preserve the existing land so that it can be used by future generations.
“With the development of this basic infrastructure in the future, it can deter the younger generation from migrating out of the village to other places through the development plan envisioned by the youth by making use of that land,” he added.
At the event, Yusuf also handed over a cheque worth RM30,000 to the Parent and Teacher Association (PTA) of SK Orang Kaya Muda Pakeri to assist in providing the necessary basic facilities for students, following the issue of damage to the school that led to its unsafe usage.
