KUCHING: Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen is currently under observation at the hospital after having been diagnosed with dengue fever.
In a Facebook posting, Chong said that since last Thursday (May 4), he was having fever and muscle ache on and off.
“Done COVID-19 test twice, both negative. Was happy but didn’t know then it was something worse.
“On Monday (May 8), when it didn’t feel much better, I went to Normah Medical Specialist Centre to do a blood test.
“This morning (May 9), the doctor confirmed it is dengue,” he said in his Facebook post yesterday.
Chong, who is also Padungan assemblyman, said he has to be admitted to the hospital for observation for several days.
