KAPIT: Kapit Member of Parliament Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi was given the honour to lead the annual Kiang Lin Ten Temple’s Tai Pek Kong (deity) procession in and around Song Bazaar here on Sunday.

Some thirty-nine teams comprised of a lion dance troupe; dragon dance troupe; brass bands from Bintulu, Mukah, Dalat, Matu-Daro, Bintulu, Sibu, Bintangor, Kanowit, Kapit and Belaga; and Tai Pek Kong Temple followers in and around Song took part in the procession which commenced at 6:30pm until 10pm.

The organising chairman pemanca Toh Tze Hua in his brief remark thanked all the participants as well as Nanta for leading the procession.

The parade was to appease Tai Pek Kong deity and all the other deities for blessings, peace, good health and prosperity.
