MIRI: We should not be relieved and comfortable with the victory as we need to take steps for a New Malaysia, said the newly elected Miri MP Chiew Choon Man.

The newly elected Miri MP said that Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) victory in forming the government is the time for them to realise the ideology and reform agenda that they have been fighting for all this time.

“This is the time for us to fulfil the offers promised to the people. This is the time for us to fully entrust the mandate given to the interests of the people,” said Chiew in a press statement yesterday.

Hence, he pledged that as Miri MP he will play an appropriate role to submit the wishes of the people to the government and fight for the best for the people of Miri.

Chiew noted that after almost a week, Malaysians finally got a Prime Minister whom they have been waiting for all this time.
