MERADONG: Sarikei MP Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii highlighted the importance of providing students with essential school supplies and facilities to enhance their learning environment and foster the development of highly skilled individuals.
Speaking during the distribution event held at Meradong, Huang Tiong Sii stressed the significance of comfortable learning conditions in enabling students to acquire knowledge diligently.
The distribution, facilitated by his representative Gung Chiu Kion, saw essential school items, including school uniforms, shoes, and bags, being provided to 14 schools in the region.
The donated supplies aim to alleviate the financial burden on parents as they prepare for the upcoming school session.
Thanking Huang, who is Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, for the contributions, students, parents, and school authorities hailed the initiative as a motivating force for academic excellence and increased student enthusiasm towards education.
The schools benefiting from the distribution are SJKC Yong Kwong, SK Tulai, SJK Tong Hua, SJKC Nang Hua, SJKC Kung Cheng, SJKC Ming Daik, SK Bukit Nibong, SK Ulu Meradong, SJKC Nan Chiew, SJKC Ming Chiang, SJKC Ming Shing, SK Sg Selidap, SK Sg Sian, and SK Tanjung Bundung.
