KUCHING: Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) in a simple ceremony yesterday.

The MoU is to enable both parties to explore collaborations in areas of training, consultation and technical guidance.

“The collaboration with MPC will enhance our journey into the field of digital economy and propagate the use of digital technology, particularly among those involved in our entrepreneurship development programme,” said SEDC chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Abdul Aziz Husain in his speech.

MPC Sarawak was represented by its director Sarimah Misman while SEDC was represented by its general manager Abdul Hadi Abdul Kadir.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Abdul Aziz, MPC board director member Datuk Abang Karim Tun Abang Openg and MPC director-general Datuk Abdul Latif Abu Seman.

Abdul Latif said, “SEDC has been a great supporter of MPC through its involvement in various programmes. I believe this MoU signing is not a prelude to collaborations between our two organisations, MPC and SEDC, but rather a booster and catalyst to enhance existing collaborations.”
