KUCHING: The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) is organising its Third Business Excellence Seminar and Forum 2017 focusing on the comprehensive management practices standard for business organisation.
According to State MPC Director Tengku Azmi Tengku Majid, this is the third year for them to organise the programme which has benefitted the business organisation and community in the State.
“For this year, we are making changes whereby we add more time to the seminar and forum making it a full day event, instead of only half a day, like the previous ones.
“This is to enable those coming from outside of Kuching to benefit from more input by the speakers during the seminar and forum, and at the same time they can exchange their experience and knowledge too with other participants,” said Azmi during a press conference held after officiating the MPC Lean Implementation Workshop For Manager Programme held at a leading hotel, here yesterday.
He added this change is done after considering the feedbacks and opinions from organising the event in the previous year.
Azmi also noted they are focusing more towards the implementation of the business excellence programme and its benefit towards an organisation.
“I feel that after the last two years, a lot of organisation in the State have understood what the Business Excellence programme is, and our focus is to cultivate and ensure that they can implement the steps in the business excellence practices in any organisation,” he said, adding they managed to register more than 200 participations during last year programme.
Azmi urged any business organisation that is interested to advance their business further to join the MPC Business Excellence Seminar and Forum 2017.
“I hope that this programme can attract the interest of the business community in Sarawak as this programme would benefit their organisations, and at the same time they can exchange their experience and knowledge with other participants and the speakers too,” said Azmi.
State MPC is targeting about 300 to 350 participants for the Business Excellence Seminar and Forum 2017, which will be held in Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on this coming 23 August, from 8.30am to 4.30 pm.
The programme will be divided into two sections whereby the seminar will be held in the morning section while the forum will start in the evening section.
