KUCHING: Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sarawak Branch will hold a workshop next month to target those working in senior management positions. Called the ‘Business Excellence Workshop for Senior Management’, it will be held at Damai Beach Resort, Santubong near here from 13-16 November.
According to a member of MPC Board of Directors, Datuk Abang Haji Abdul Karim Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, they are trying to put emphasis on those in senior management levels because they are the ones who drive the organisation.
“If they don’t have an open mindset and don’t look far into the future, their organisation will most likely have problems.
“We are giving emphasis to update and engage in terms of new ways of doing things. “Programmes like this will increase productivity in both the public and private sectors which can enhance the organisation and benefit the nation,” he said during a press conference after attending the closing and certificate presentation ceremony of the ‘Strategic Planning Workshop for Senior Management’ at Hilton Hotel here on Wednesday. The workshop was attended by 56 participants.
