KUCHING: Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) welcomes cooperation from more organisations in implementing productivity and innovation programmes aimed at improving efficiency and competitiveness.
Sarawak MPC director Sarimah Misman said MPC had constantly been promoting productivity improvement programmes online and would like other organisations to join up as well.
“Among the online programmes is the Mini Convention of Team Excellence (MTEx) Sarawak 2020,” she said during the MTEx Sarawak 2020 that was held online yesterday.
The convention provided an opportunity for organisations and groups to continue innovating and improving, she said.
“Through the improvement projects, cost can be saved and work efficiency improved.
“I believe the Team Excellence activities will contribute positively to the productivity of the respective organisations, and also help to further enhance the innovation ecosystem in Malaysia,” she said.
Sarawak MPC also organised various activities and programmes to assist industries and the Sarawak government through the Sarawak Productivity programme launched by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg during a webinar on June 9.
“Among the programmes are Virtual Advisory Clinic, Virtual Coaching, Virtual Coordination and Virtual Training aimed at exposing participants to online applications to increase productivity,” she said.
Currently, more than 300 companies have been involved in the Virtual Advisory Clinic, especially in the Tourism, Mechanical and Equipment, and Retail Food and Beverages sectors.
“In the Virtual Advisory Clinic sessions, the business community will have the opportunity to share their concerns and speak with industry experts to resolve issues,” she said.
Sarawak MPC will organise the Team Excellence Convention Sarawak Region (RTEx) 2020 on Sept 17 and 18.
