KUCHING: Time to clean up as the Hari Gawai Festival is near approaching!
In view of the festive celebration, Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) will carry out a spring cleaning in preparation for the upcoming Hari Gawai Festival until May 31, with Roll-On-Roll-Off (RoRo) containers provided to dispose waste.
The council also reminded residents who are busy preparing for the festivities to dispose of their rubbish responsibly.
“The public is urged to keep their neighbourhood areas clean while any extra waste should be packed and disposed of properly into the additional bins or RoRo containers readied for the bulky waste disposals which are available for use at some of the areas under MPP,” it said in a Facebook post.
The locations for the spring cleaning are Taman Malihah ( Behind H&L Malihah); RPR Batu Kawa (Shoplot parking at Lorong 28 RPR Batu Kawa); Taman Matang Jaya (Behind Matang Mall); Kampung/Taman Landeh (Landeh commercial area shoplot); Desa Wira/Kuching City Mall (Shoplot parking at Lorong Kuching City Mall 1A); Taman Flora Indah Bin Centre; Taman Sri Cahaya, Tondong Batu Kawa; Taman Harmoni Matang Flat; commercial centre located next to JPJ 11th Mile; and Lee Ling Matang Temporary Hawker Centre.
