This was said by Deputy Finance Minister II Mohd Shahar Abdullah during his visit here.

“As we are in the now recovery phase, I hope all members from both political divides, namely government and the opposition will give more focus on the problems faced by the people especially during this recovery phase.

“This is aimed at getting MPs to submit plans and ideas so that after the recovery phase we can move forward into two more phases,” he said in a press conference after visiting SMK Tebakang here on Saturday (July 11).

Shahar, who is also the Paya Besar MP said the Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has outlined the six-step plan (6Rs) to combat Covid-19.

The 6Rs are resolve, resilience, restart, recovery, revilatise and reform. Currently, the country is in the recovery stage.

“We still have to revilatise through the 2021 Budget. And now we are still preparing a long plan that is the 12th Malaysia Plan for January next year.

“Therefore, I hope during the next sitting, it will not be a sitting to point out what is right and wrong but it will be a sitting where we look into the needs of the people. That should be our priority,” he pointed out.
