KUCHING: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Kuching branch has received a new ambulance van from the Latter-day Saints Charities at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here yesterday.

Deputy chairman of MRC Kuching branch Dr Chou Chii Ming said that the branch was grateful for the donation of the new ambulance, which cost around RM195,000.

“I would like to say thank you to the church for the donation of the ambulance.

“On behalf of the society, the church cares about the society. They are very concerned about their surroundings.

“The needs of the ambulance are during sport events, those with their paralysed family member or are in emergency situations,” he said.

He added that the public can call the branch at 011-55863225 for first aid duties and ambulance services.

Meanwhile, Latter-day Saints Charities Elder Sandy Hall said that the donation of the new ambulance to the MRC Kuching, is a form of charity to help those who are in need.

“I am very happy that the ambulance is finally here to be handed over to the MRC Kuching, ” he said.
