SERIAN: Forty-five youth leaders of the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) at SMK Serian recently took part in an orientation course to upgrade the students’ skills and knowledge as first aiders.
The course, held at the MRC Serian District office also aimed at improving teamwork, understanding and friendship among the participants and to review the unit’s achievement in 2019 and plan for its activities in 2020.
Among the activities held were first aid training, foot drill, examination on education in Red Cross and Red Crescent and International Humanitarian Law, basic first aid and CPR.
A teacher in-charge of MRC SMK Serian unit said, “We organise such orientation courses for our youth leaders every year not only to review the unit’s achievement in 2019 and its action plan for 2020 but also to appoint the new batch of committee members who will lead the MRC SMK Serian for 2020.”
