MrDanger eliminated by Perak

KUCHING: Sarawak’s Tekken 8 fighter was knocked out of the tournament after losing in Top 8 bracket and in the loser bracket today (Aug 22).

Mohamad Tarmini Hafizi Jarpri, also known as his in-game-name MrDanger, was knocked out by Pulau Pinang’s Shao Ern Chuah in a 2-0 clean sweep during the Top 8 matches.

Shao defeated MrDanger 3-0 in the first match and another 3-0 in the second match in a best of three system.

The 21-year-old Sarawakian was later relegated into the loser bracket where he put up an intense bout against Perak’s Amir Mahdi Ainin.

In the first match, Amir defeated Tarmini 3-2. Later, Sarawak bounced back to force the game into a decider match by beating Perak 3-2 in the second match.

However, MrDanger was eliminated from the tournament in the decider match after Perak won 3-0 in the third match.

The final score ended up in Perak’s favour with a 2-1 win.

Yesterday (Aug 21), Tarmini advanced into the Top 8 after finishing second in Group D with three wins and one loss.

Group D of the Tekken 8 tournament consists of five states namely Pulau Pinang, Pahang, Sarawak, Sabah and Melaka.

Tarmini finished behind group winner Melaka that won four matches.
