KUCHING: MSN’s pair Mohd Fairus Abang Deni and Syed Iqmaluddina Wan Azman emerged champions of the 2017 Dato Sri Mohamad Ali Mahmud Cup at the Sarawak Lawn Bowls Arena in Petra Jaya recently.
Closest rivals, Mohd Afiq and Mohd Andy Alfizan Julhi of Sukma C in the second place while the pair of Nurulhasmaniza Tuah and Hamimah Sajeli of Jebon in third.
The main objective of organising the competition is to select the best players to represent Sarawak in the Tan Sri P Ramlee Cup which will be held soon.
It is also served as a venue to expose the Sukma shadow team players in preparation for the 19th edition of Malaysia Games in Perak next year.
Sarawak MAKSAK secretary, Semawi Mohammad gave away the prizes to the winners of the tournament organised by Sarawak Lawn Bowls Association (Salba).
