BINTULU: MTT Shipping’s latest addition to its fleet has embarked on its maiden voyage from Bintulu Port.

MTT Bintangor, a 1,836 TEU vessel, is one of the 12 ships scheduled to be added to MTT’s fleet this year.

Guests were given a tour of the ship by Captain Cheang Keng Ha in conjunction with its first official voyage and to demonstrate maritime industry innovation,” said Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB).

“Equipped with a Mitsubishi Eco LSH series Tier III engine, featuring a cutting-edge electronic control system that optimises fuel efficiency and significantly reduces exhaust gas emissions, this vessel exemplifies MTT Shipping’s unwavering commitment to sustainable maritime operations, aligning with the IMO’s environmental goals of achieving net zero by 2050.

“Since its inception in 2010, MTT Shipping has achieved remarkable growth, evolving from a newcomer to Malaysia’s largest homegrown container operator.
