KUCHING: Parti MUDA Sarawak has been chided for misusing the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) building as a platform to promote its political party.
Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth chief Miro Simuh pointed out that there are many other platforms for MUDA Sarawak to promote itself.
“What they did on yesterday (May 17) by calling for a press conference at DUN media room is considered as gatecrashing. They are not supposed to use the media room to promote their party.
“This has never been done by any political party before because the DUN media room is for DUN members’ usage only and for what goes on during the DUN sitting,” he said during a press conference yesterday.
Miro reiterated that DUN building is not the place for any political party to utilise for its promotion, adding that this is applicable in Parliament as well.
“Sarawak DUN comprises of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (DAP), Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), but none of the DUN members have used this as a platform to promote their respective political parties,” he said.
