MUKAH: The Lions Club remains dedicated to contributing to community development through various activities in each of its regions.
Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine expressed his appreciation to the Mukah Lions Club for its continuous efforts in assisting the local community over the years.
“We want the club’s spirit to remain active in organising various programs that benefit the public and help the community.
“Of course, I am proud of the achievements and contributions made by this club,” he said.
Royston made these remarks during the Mukah Lions Club’s 25th Anniversary Dinner and the Appointment of New Officers, held at Kingwood Resort recently.
In conjunction with the event, Royston also announced a grant of RM10,000 to the Mukah Lions Club to support its future activities.
Meanwhile, Mukah Lions Club president Penghulu Henry Lee Liong Ing reaffirmed the club’s commitment to engaging in community service and helping those in need.
“As part of an international charitable organisation, we belong to the Lions Club International District 308-A2.
“Our club members actively participate in and organise programmes. Additionally, the club provides aid to the underprivileged, promotes education, and more,” he said.
Lee further expressed his hope that the club will continue its commitment to helping the local community and contributing to the wellbeing of many.
