Mukah policeman dies in high-powered motorcycle crash

Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata and Deputy Police Commissioner Datuk Ibrahim Darus extended their condolences to Ramadhan’s family following the fatal motorcycle crash that claimed his life.

BINTULU: A policeman died from severe injuries after his high-powered motorcycle skidded and crashed along Mile 35, Jalan Pan Borneo Bintulu-Miri yesterday (Aug 31).

Cpl/S Mohamad Ramadhan Dairi, 43, was attached to the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division at the Mukah district police headquarters (IPD).

Bintulu police chief Supt Nixon Ali Joshua said that the accident happened around 11.30am when the victim was riding his Benelli 502C motorcycle to Miri from Mukah.

“Investigations found that the victim lost control of his motorcycle at a corner, causing it to skid to the right and crash into the middle road divider.

The scene of the fatal accident that claimed the life of a policeman attached to Mukah IPD.

“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics due to severe head and body injuries,” he said.
