SIBU: Mukah Boys and Sibu Girls teams emerged as the champions in the Sarawak Youth Under 16 Volleyball Championship 2019 which ended at Sibu Volleyball Indoor Stadium, Rejang Park on Sunday evening.
Mukah Boys beat defending champions Meradong Boys 3-1 in the final to lift the champion cup.
Sarikei Boys finished third. In the Girls section, defending champions Sibu Girls defeated Miri Girls 3-0 in the final while Meradong Girls came in third.
The three-day championship was contested by three other boys teams from Kuching, Limbang and Sarikei while the other girls teams were from Mukah. Limbang and Sarikei did not send any girls team.
