KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) president Datuk Sri Wong Soon Koh finally met Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg yesterday but he is not telling what transpired at the meeting.
The Second Finance Minister and International Trade and E-Commerce Minister also refused to field questions as to whether he had tendered his resignation from the state Cabinet.
Just three days ago, he called for a press conference to specifically announce his decision to quit his ministerial portfolios but not before meeting the chief minister.
“I came here (today) to have a courtesy call on the Chief Minister and we had a very good discussion. And, of course I cannot reveal what was being discussed,” he said.
“But I can tell you we remain the best of friends,” he told TV Sarawak and Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) when met after the courtesy call.
He also described Abang Johari as a ‘mentor’ and pledged his support to him in the service to the people of Sarawak.
“I, as president of PSB, would do everything to help the Chief Minister to work hard for the people and the state of Sarawak,” he was quoted as saying.
He also said he is leaving it to the Chief Minister to announce the person who will replace him in the state cabinet.
A video clip of his interview after paying a courtesy call on the Chief Minister was shared by TV Sarawak and UKAS on social media.
