SARIKEI: Thirty-eight cows will be distributed to the local Muslim community this Hari Raya Aidiladha.
Sarikei Deputy Resident Abang Budiman said Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Assistant Minister Datuk Len Talif Salleh through the Kuala Rajang Service Centre has donated 22 cattle; Kuala Rajang Islamic Welfare Board, nine; Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, five; and Sarikei Islamic Welfare Board (Lakisri), two.
Abang Budiman said the cows will be distributed to villages, mosques and suraus around Sarikei and Tanjung Manis.
Meanwhile, Tanjung Manis MP Yusuf Abd Wahab is giving every mosque in the division RM3,000 and every surau RM2,000.
On top of that, the MP is also giving RM1,500 to every mosque in his constituency.
