PADAWAN: A man was arrested for injuring a victim with a rim lock iron at Kampung Haji Baki last Tuesday.
According to Padawan District police chief, Supt Aidil Bolhassan, the suspect, 23, was arrested at 3.05pm in his house at Jalan Batu Kitang.
“The victim, 25, lodged a report last Monday, stating that the suspect had swung a rim lock iron and injured both his arms at his (victim’s) house at 5.30pm.
“During the investigation, the victim was found to have injured his right fingers and sprained his left arm,” the police chief said in a press statement last Tuesday.
Further investigation revealed that the incident happened because of the victim’s actions and attitude while retrieving a helmet outside the suspect’s home.
“The suspect admitted injuring the victim with a double-edged motorcycle rim,” said Aidil.
He added the suspect also had several past criminal records.
