NAIM gives two SMK Batu Lintang students gift rewards

KUCHING: A total of 83 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Batu Lintang received awards in conjunction with its Student Excellence Appreciation Ceremony recently.

According to a press statement, out of 83 recipients, 75 were recipients of the academic award, and eight were recipients of the co-curricular award, which consisted of students from Form 5 and Form 6.

The ceremony, which aims to give recognition and also act as a motivational catalyst for students, was held at the school’s Dewan Seri Lintang and was officiated by a representative from the NAIM Group of Companies’ chief people officer Elise Loh Yen Hua.

“Students who excel in academics and co-curriculum deserve to be celebrated for their efforts and hard work, thus setting an example for students to succeed together in the future,” said the statement.

Meanwhile, the school principal Hadiah Amit, said in her welcome speech that the students can create excellence based on their respective capacities.

“This recognition is a form of “booster” for students in Form 5 and Form 6 before they face the real test.

“My hope is for the students to excel not only in academics and extracurriculars but also in the formation of their commendable personalities in line with the school’s motto, Kita Peneraju Kecemerlangan,” she said.

At the ceremony, Benson Wong Baa Sing, a Form 5 student, and Darren Fu Hon Meng, a Form 6 student, were each awarded the Student Aspiration Special Award.

Students are evaluated not only in terms of academics and co-curriculum but also for their admirable attitudes.

The two award recipients each brought a gift worth RM500 sponsored by NAIM Group of Companies.
