KUCHING: High-achieving students from SMK St. Anthony, Sarikei beamed with pride as they received the prestigious NAIM Foundation Academic Excellence Award (NFAEA) recently.
The award ceremony, held at the school, underscored NAIM Foundation’s commitment to giving back to the Sarawakian community.
“This year, we’re recognising the outstanding achievements of 366 students from 18 schools across Sarawak who excelled in their recent Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) exams,” said a statement from NAIM Foundation, the charitable arm of the NAIM Group (NAIM).
NAIM’s Chief People Officer, Elise Loh Yen Hua, presented the awards to 45 students, with proud parents and teachers in attendance.
“NAIM takes immense pride in supporting the academic journey of our youth,” she said.
“Through NAIM Foundation, we aim to not only celebrate the accomplishments of these deserving students but also inspire others to strive for excellence.”
Expressing his gratitude to NAIM, school principal Vincent Leong Shou Chuan commended the foundation’s efforts.
Also present were Sarikei District Education chief officer Lau Ngie Tung, parent-teacher association (PTA) chairlady Moreen Chua.
NAIM’s commitment to academic excellence extends beyond awards. The foundation also offers scholarships to deserving students, aiming to alleviate financial burdens associated with pursuing tertiary education and empowering them to reach their full potential.
