Naim strengthens operations with strategic leadership appointments

KUCHING: Naim Holdings Berhad has announced a series of strategic leadership appointments to strengthen its operations.

Naim Group managing director Datuk Hasmi Hasnan noted that the leadership changes come at a crucial time as Naim intensifies its focus on property development and investment in key regions.

“We believe these strategic appointments will play a pivotal role in accelerating Naim’s growth and ensuring we remain competitive in the evolving property market,” he said.

Naim has announced the appointment of Dr Raymond Yu as the chief executive officer for Property Investment, and Bintulu Region CEO effective Sept 2.

In a statement, it stated that Yu has over 15 years of experience in property development and investment, with a proven track record of success in overseeing a substantial portfolio of projects, including high-rise condominiums, residential complexes, and mixed-use developments.

Holding a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath and a PhD in Structural Optimisation from Cardiff University, it said that Yu is also a chartered member of RICS, a certified Enterprise Risk Manager, and a life member of IERP.

With the announcement, Hasmi expressed confidence in the company’s strategic direction.

“As we capitalise on the flourishing market and business opportunities in Bintulu, we are confident that Dr Yu’s extensive experience and demonstrated success will be instrumental in driving our continued success.

“He will lead the group’s property investment strategies and concurrently oversee our regional operations in the Bintulu region,” he said.

In addition to this, Naim further strengthened its leadership team with the redesignation of Faisal Zaidin as the Group Project Execution and Operations Excellence chief operating officer.

The statement noted that Faisal has previously managed Kuching region operations and will now take on a broader role, guiding project execution and operational excellence across the group.

“His leadership will ensure the timely and successful completion of critical projects,” it said.

Bolstering the team, it stated that Suhaimi Ahmad joins as general manager, Group Sales and Marketing.

“With over two decades of experience in property marketing, Suhaimi has held senior positions with top property developers in Malaysia, namely Sime Darby Property, UEM Sunrise Berhad, SP Setia Berhad, and Gadang Holdings Berhad.

“At Naim, Suhaimi will be responsible for launching comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, driving lead generation efforts, and increasing sales productivity,” it said.

Jing Fei Fei has been appointed as general manager, Group Retail and Commercial.

It pointed out that Jing brings a wealth of experience in commercial real estate and retail operations.

“At Naim, she will be responsible for leasing strategies and retail marketing for the group’s malls in Bintulu and Miri, as well as for future retail and commercial developments in Kuching.”
