PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday arrested former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak over a 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) case involving the alleged deposit of RM2.6 billion into his personal account. In a press statement issued here yesterday, MACC said that the arrest was made at 4.13pm at the MACC headquarters. The MACC said Najib would face several charges under Section 23(1) of the MACC Act 2009. It said the former prime minister would be charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today.
