Nangka constituency appoints new community leaders

SIBU: Six Chinese Community Leaders and Village Chiefs (KMKK) from around the Nangka constituency received their appointment letters which was witnessed by Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau Lee Ming.

Their appointment letters were presented by Sibu District officer, Khalid Andong in a ceremony held at the Sibu District office here, today (July 2).

The KMKK appointments involved three new Kapitan namely Kapitan Tiong Siew Ping; Kapitan Goh Kee Seng; Kapitan Tay Guan Boo and two reappointment for Kapitan Wong Kiong Khing; and Kapitan Tiong Chiong Kiing.

Aside from that, the ceremony also saw the appointment of Penghulu Teo Nging Poh.

The presentation letters were also witnessed by Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, Joshua Ting, and Councillor Datuk Teo Boon Siew.
