“People must think very carefully who to support in politics. In the election, you not only just vote for me but vote for the government who could deliver.

Since Najib Razak becomes Prime Minister in 2009, he allocated a lot of funding to develop rural constituency and we in Kapit greatly benefited from it. Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang, Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat and myself , we offered our best to serve you because of big allocation through elected representatives. We represent the ruling government; we are able to help because of the allocation and various assistance through the ‘elected government representative”, said Nanta.

He made comparison between present Prime Minister Najib Razak and Tun Mahathir who was Prime Minister for 22 years but never visited Kapit and never allocated funds too whereas under Najib Kapit has been given millions of ringgit.

“Now under Najib, he allocated a few millions Ringgit through ‘elected peoples

representative’ and on top of that various government assistances such BRIM, I AZAM, E- Kasih, Projek Bantuan Termiskin Rumah, Rural Transformation programme, Bantuan Sekolah were introduced by Najib.

“Now, we as the ‘elected people representative’ can approve up to

RM1 million project at any time” said Nanta.

“Politics is for the people to help them to improve their quality of living, that is politics for development. Najib visited Kapit three times but Mahathir none.

“Najib approved the road

project Kapit-Song- Kanowit. Constituents must know who help them. Vote for government candidate, vote for development. I hope all of you to turn up in full force to fill the ballot paper for BN”, said Nanta.
