KAPIT: Member of Parliament for Kapit Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi and State Assemblyman for Bukit Goram, Jefferson Jamit Unyat jointly officiated at Fun Run Programme for Kapit that was held to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Sarawak Rivers’ Board celebration where Kapit was a venue chosen for the event.

The 4-km-Fun Run attracted 396 participants from all walks of lives comprising teachers, health workers, office workers, businessmen, students and even porters at the jetty.

Nanta in a brief remark thanked SRB to choose Kapit as one of its venues for the anniversary celebration.

He lauded the overwhelming response because the organiser had targeted only 250 participants but ending up attracting some 396 participants.

Present at the prize giving ceremony were SRB controller Richard Tajan, Deputy Controller Abang Mohammad Abang Naili, Assistant Controller Central region Haji Hatta Morshidi, officer in charge SRB Kapit Jerry Lenggir, administrative officer Kapit District Office Bidah Lujah, Kapit police chief DSP Freddy Bian and community leaders led by Temenggong Wilfred Billy Panyau.
