SIBU: Narcotics Traffic emerged champions after defeating Sg Merah Logistics 1-0 in the final of the Sibu District Police Chief’s Cup football tournament at Sibu Prisons field on Wednesday (March 30).
Five teams took part in the competition, which began on March 22, to celebrate the 215th Police Day.
Sgt Mohammad Shaharuddin Abd Majid scored the only goal in the 65th minute to bring home the trophy.
Joint third were Sibu Jaya CPS and the CID/SB.
The champions, runners-up and joint thirds received trophies and medals.
The closing ceremony was officiated by ASP Kushairy Bujang on behalf of acting Sibu District police chief Dr Collin Babat.
