SIMUNJAN: Gedong Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais promised to allocate RM50,000 to build a hall for Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Samalatong.
However, according to him, the allocation will only be issued in January next year.
Naroden, who is also Entrepreneur and Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) Development Assistant Minister, stated this when launching SK Samalatong Annual Sports Day yesterday.
A total of nine schools in Ulu Simunjan participated in the event.
Commenting on the annual sports day, he said the activities for all schools across the country can be a platform to enhance the sportsmanship and teamwork spirits.
“For example, developed country like Australia obligates Saturday and Sunday for its 1 Sport 1 Student (1S1S) programme,” he added.
At the same time, the Gedong Assemblyman also emphasised additional skills such as mechanics, computers and others which could be an enhancement for a student to get a better job in the future.
