KUCHING: The Unity Government national convention is seen as a support by its coalition parties for the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Political analyst, Dick Lembang Dugun said the convention that takes place today at the World Trade Centre KL is also seen as a preparation to face the six states election later on.
“Obviously, the convention will show the unity of different political parties that formed the Unity Government and give a better perception to other countries around the world.
“This is to show the stability of government. Political stability is crucially important to ensure a prosperous economy.
“As we can see, within the six months administration of the Unity Government, it has given positive signs especially on country’s economic growth,” he said when contacted by New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.
He said he believed that all the political parties in the Unity Government understand the meaning of the political stability that gives positive impact to all Malaysians.
“Malaysian politics must move forward with this ruling coalition. The rakyat, I think are already matured in seeing the way this government manages our country. Let us all move forward and support this Unity Government,” he added.
