KUALA LUMPUR: National elite keglers Adrian Ang and Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman put up fine displays en route to clinching the men’s and women’s stepladder titles at the 45th Thailand International Open Tenpin Bowling Championships in Bangkok on Monday.

Adrian, who topped the overall standings in the qualifying round, defeated Billy M. Islam of Indonesia 217-193 while Siti Safiyah edged teammate Nerosha Keligit 257-216 in the women’s stepladder final at the Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl in Siam Paragon, according to the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) website www.abf-online.org.

Adrian pocketed 350,000 baht (RM45,318) while Siti Safiyah Amirah took home 130,000 baht (RM16,831).
Earlier, national back-up bowler Muhammad Shafiy Zaim won the boys’ Youth Under-21 category on April 8. – Bernama
