MIRI: Several villagers from Logan Entasan, Marudi yesterday lodged a police report against a firm for   encroaching into their Native Customary Rights (NCR) land. The land measured 1,267 hectares.

A group of 10 people led by Micheal Bigol arrived at Miri Central Police station (CPS) at round 2.30pm to lodge the report. Also present was Dennis Along of the PKR Baram Customary Land Bureau.

They claimed that the firm had encroached into their land for logging purposes.

Following the incident, villagers of the area have blocked and detained at least five excavators belonging to the firm since two months ago.
