DALAT: An underprivileged family here received financial assistance amounting to RM300 through the Tabung Bantuan Segera on Monday (Jul 5).
Dalat Welfare Department assistant officer Mohd Nazri Mohd Sharkawi, who was present to hand over the aid, said on June 30, the department was informed about a family that had ran out of food and baby milk powder supplies.
“The couple, who is from Long Lama, Miri, has two small children, aged five and two years old.
“The husband is a construction site labourer and since the movement control order (MCO) was re-implemented, he had lost his source of income.
“Throughout the MCO, the family depended on their neighbours for help,” Mohd Nazri said.
