MUKAH: The Badan Khairat Kematian Kampung Kuala Lama (BKKKL) handed out donations to the less fortunate to coincide with the month of Ramadan.
The recipients were from in and around Mukah and Oya.
Chairman Hamden Morshidi hoped that the donations would alleviate some of their burden as Aidilfitri draws near.
“The donations are in the form of food and cash, and made possible by generous donors and BKKKL members.
“BKKKL, established in 2015, often conducts welfare programmes to help the less fortunate in the community.
“Previously, BKKKL sought assistance from Tellian and Balingian people’s representatives for capital for the preparation and installation of lighting at the Mukah Islamic Cemetery.”
