MIRI: An elderly man who tailed a car after he saw his woman friend getting into another man’s vehicle had a rude shock when the latter pulled over and smashed the front portion of his car with a machete.
Fearing for his life, the 61-year-old made a quick getaway before more harm was done and rushed over to the police to lodge a report.
District police chief ACP Hakemal Hawari said a 31 year-old man was subsequently detained on Friday morning for questioning over the incident which took place near a residential area in Senadin the previous day.
Investigations are continuing.
