KUCHING: New Sarawak Tribune has published its first international book, “Through the Looking Glass,” authored by International Business Review (IBR) Asia Group chief executive officer and columnist Datuk Beatrice Nirmala.
The book, priced at RM63.90, was unveiled at the IBR Borneo Awards 2023 held at the Riverside Majestic Hotel here on Friday.
Targeting the global market, the publication has been translated into Spanish, Arabic, and Hindi.
The book’s editor Rajah Murugaiah, expressed confidence that the book is set to become an international bestseller, lauding its exceptional storytelling, exquisite illustrations, and the profound wisdom it encapsulates.
“This book is a testament to the energy that Beatrice brings into anything she touches, sort of a Midas touch.
“She has been contributing to New Sarawak Tribune with her weekly column, and to date, the company has published 86 pieces of her column,” he said.
Rajah went on to suggest that Sarawak ought to publish more literature about its numerous initiatives to attract global attention.
He proposed that the state consider involving Beatrice in promoting its hydrogen and green energy projects, which the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, has been avidly presenting on the world stage.
