KOTA PADAWAN: The parking problem faced by residents in Kampung Stabut, Padawan is now solved after the construction of the parking space has been completed.
Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin said the project, worth RM18,000, started last year on Dec 14 and was finally completed by a selected contractor.
On his Facebook page on Thursday (Jan 27), he said the opening of the new car park aimed at catering to the needs of the villagers especially during the festive season.
Before this, Willie has attended the ground breaking ceremony at the car park site on Dec 11 last year.
“We hoped that the project can be done as soon as possible as well as following the specifications that have been regulated.
“Now that it is completed, this is what the villagers have been waiting for, and be of convenience to them to park their car,” he stated.
The completion of the project was witnessed by community leader Saoh Lusek, Kampung Stabut village committee members, contractors and officials from Puncak Borneo Service Centre.
