KUCHING: A new clinic similar to the Petra Jaya Health Clinic has been proposed for the Santubong parliamentary constituency which encompasses the Pantai Damai constituency.

Utility and Telecommunications Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, said that a new clinic with a large and comfortable capacity should be provided in this area.

“We have also proposed to the government to build another clinic just like the Petra Jaya Health Clinic in Pantai Damai.

“It is important to provide comfortable health services to the residents of the area as there is an increase in population,” he said.

Pantai Damai has a high population density and the number of housing estates is increasing.

“So we need a bigger clinic for health services in the future,” Dr Abdul Rahman said.

Pantai Damai has five government health clinics, namely in Santubong, Buntal, Telaga Air, Pantai Damai and the Kampung Bintawa Hilir Mother and Child Health Clinic.
