KUCHING: YLH Autoworld Sdn Bhd proudly unveiled Malaysia’s first ORA 07 in East Malaysia, made by Chinese automobile manufacturer, Great Wall Motor (GWM), at its media preview event today (Mar 21).
YLH Autoworld Sdn Bhd executive director, Hong Boon Pau said the ORA 07’s set a new standard in electric vehicle (EV) innovation, highlighting its unique features, which drew parallels to the iconic Porsche Panamera with its stunning design.
“This sleek electric coupe is set to be launched next month and it will be priced less than RM200,000.
“We are excited to have the ORA 07 open for public viewing soon, and we will also organise a test drive for the electric vehicle,” he said at their dealership centre located at Jalan Mendu here.
The ORA 07 combines retro aesthetics with modern flair, featuring a closed grille and oval-shaped headlights that evoke nostalgia while embracing futuristic design elements.
Safety is paramount, with the ORA 07 undergoing rigorous testing, including China’s first intense EV Rollover Challenge and Intersection Collision Challenge, ensuring robustness against real-life scenarios.
With advanced sensors, surround cameras, and a high-strength body, the ORA 07 sets the standard in safety, providing top-notch security for every journey.
Measuring 4,871mm in length, 1,862mm in width, and 1,500mm in height, the ORA 07 boasts a silhouette reminiscent of a fastback automobile, complemented by hidden door handles, frameless doors, and an adaptive electric spoiler.
Inside the ORA 07, the cockpit exudes sophistication with premium leather upholstery, a T-shaped hollow centre console with rotating panels, and ergonomic seats equipped with massage features for both driver and front passenger.
The luxurious interior is further enhanced by a 1.7m2 dome-style panoramic sunroof and a smart air conditioning system that ensures comfort in every journey.
Available in sophisticated grey, purple, and white, the ORA 07 comes in Long-range and Performance variants, delivering superior performance and versatility.
Powered by an advanced 83.499 kWh ternary lithium battery, the Long-Range variant offers a range of 640 km and 150 kW (204 PS) of power, while the Performance model delivers 300 kW (408 PS) and 680 Nm of torque, with a range of up to 550 km.
The introduction of the ORA 07 marks the beginning of GWM’s journey in 2024, reaffirming its commitment to enriching the Malaysian automotive landscape with vehicles that inspire, perform, and protect.
As GWM prepares to launch the Haval H6 and Tank 300, the ORA 07 stands as the vanguard of GWM’s ambitious 2024 lineup, heralding a new era of electric driving in Malaysia.
