KUCHING: The new Sarawak Federal Secretary Datuk Amir Omar today paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here.
Amir, who replaced Datuk Mohammad Shahabuddin Omar who retired on Apr 3, 2021, was accompanied by his deputy Norizan Jili.
During the visit he said he would work towards strengthening cooperation between the federal and state governments to improve the quality of education, boost development as well as economic relations.
Previously, Amir served in the Public Service Department as secretary-general to the Ministry of Human Resources.
