MUKAH: A Type 3 Health Clinic will be constructed in the constituency to address the healthcare facility needs of the area.
Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine said the proposed site for the health clinic has already been identified for the project’s construction.
“I hope the project proceeds smoothly as planned and can assist the residents of Mukah who need healthcare services,” he said during a dinner in conjunction with the Division-level Nurses Day Celebration on Saturday (May 18).
Discussing the need for healthcare facilities in Mukah, Royston said that the Sarawak government donated three haemodialysis machines to the Haemodialysis Unit of Mukah Hospital last March.
He said both the state and governments, through their representatives, are committed to continuously improving healthcare facilities to ensure the quality of healthcare services remains high.
At the event, he also announced a grant of RM5,000 for the Sarawak Professional Nursing Association Mukah Branch to support their activities.
