KAPIT: The new office bearers of Kapit Kwang Tung Association (KKTA) main body, women and youth wings were installed at Civic Centre here on Saturday.
Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi officiated at the installation ceremony.
Among those present to witness the installation ceremony were Bukit Goram assemb;yman Jefferson Jamit Unyat, Kapit Resident Joseph Belayong, Kapit District Officer Elvis Didit, Bukit Mabong District Officer Douglas Pungga, Special Branch Officer ASP Chua Su Hua, organising chairman Kapitan Kong Cheak He, Kapit Kwang Tung Association chairman Kong Sien Hua, Temenggong Tan Kian Hoo, Pemanca Yong Thu Fook, Penghulu Sia Shui Poh, Penghulu Wong Kie Ing, Kapitan Yiap Yii Hoo, Kapitan Yap Hui Li, Miri Kwang Tung Association chairman Calvin Kong and 550 guests.
KKTA main body is headed by Kong Sien Hua, women’s wing by Liew Mee Kiong and youth wing by Chia Weng Kwong.
Ninety elderly people (65 years old and above) received gifts in the form of cash in red packets from the association at the function.
