SIBU: Chairman of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Dudong branch, Wong Ching Yong witnessed the presentation of a certificate to Meling Empol, the newly appointed chief of an Iban longhouse, Rumah Meling Empol, in Sungai Menyan.
Wong congratulated Meling and was confident he would take good care of the longhouse folk.
Wong also joined the longhouse folk in celebrating Meling’s birthday.
In his speech, Meling called on all the longhouse folk to fully support Wong, the potential candidate of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)/SUPP in Dudong constituency.
Meling said he believed Wong would listen to their grievances and help to bring more infrastructure to their area.
