THE proposed project for the development of new Lundu Hospital will be submitted as part of the next Malaysia Plan.
Public Health, Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister Michael Tiang stated the state Health Department would propose the new project.
“The new hospital will have 76 beds, whereas the current hospital only has 46.
“It will also provide inpatient services, operating theatre, outpatient services, specialist clinics and supporting clinical services such as radiology, laboratory, forensic and rehabilitation,” he said.
He said this in response to a question from Billy Sujang (GPS-Opar) on the status of the new Lundu Hospital during the question-and-answer session at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting today.
