MUKAH: Residents of two housing estates at Jalan Desa Merpati here will soon have their own multipurpose hall.
The site clearing process for the proposed hall had commenced a few days ago.
Prior to this, the Neighbourhood Unit (KRT) of Taman King Sum and Hung Liong (KRT KSHL) had applied for the project through Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo.
Yussibnosh, who is also a former Balingian assemblyman, listed the application under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) and was subsequently approved by the government.
The handing over of the project site by Mukah Public Works Department (JKR) to the contractor Syarikat AJJ Wood Enterprise took place earlier this month.
The project with a contract value of RM200,000 is expected to be completed in February 2020.
